Take Ownership

Jeremiah 29:11 says, " For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, says the Lord, thoughts of peace and not of evil, to give you a future and a hope."  God has good plans for us.  His plans are good, blessed, and bring us into the future He has prepared for us.  The key is for us to discover God's plans, embrace them, and then take possession of them in our lives.

Webster's dictionary says ownership is to possess, to admit, acknowledge, confess to that which belongs to oneself.  So for us to have what God says we can have, there must be effort and cooperation with God on our part.  Hebrews 4:1-2 says, "1Therefore, since a promise remains of entering His rest, let us fear lest any of you seem to have come short of it.For indeed the gospel was preached to us as well as to them; but the word which they heard did not profit them, not being mixed with faith in those who heard it."  So to receive what God says is ours, we must mix faith with it.

Study this week's outline and learn these simple steps in taking ownership of what God has for you.  God has a blessed future for you, so step out in faith and take possession of the life Jesus has provided for you in His death, burial, and resurrection.
