Proclaiming Jesus in 2016

In Matthew 28:18-20, the Lord Jesus delegated to all Believers the great commission to reach people all over the world with the Gospel of Salvation. "And Jesus came and spoke to them, saying, “All authority has been given to Me in heaven and on earth. Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all things that I have commanded you; and lo, I am with you always, even to the end of the age.” Amen."

For us to make disciples, we must first be disciples.  It is impossible to reproduce what you are not and impossible to give to others what you don't have yourself.  1 Peter 4:17,18 says, "For the time has come for judgment to begin at the house of God; and if it begins with us first, what will be the end of those who do not obey the Gospel of God? Now "If the righteous one is scarcely saved, Where will the ungodly and the sinner appear?" We Believers, the Body of Christ, must stir ourselves and be passionate, bold and committed to the Lord in both our personal life and in proclaiming Him to the world.  2016 must be a year that we Believers live our redemption and show the world Jesus.

On Sunday, January 3, I preached a powerful, yet practical way that all of us can proclaim Jesus to others this year.  I encourage you to study the outline and get this message.  In the service, we all committed ourselves to living our redemption and showing Jesus to the world in 2016.  We then celebrated and consecrated our renewal with communion.  I encourage every Believer to take a stand, make a commitment and together, let us show our nation and world that Jesus is the answer.

C)    Five ways we can proclaim and show Jesus to the world:

1)   Live in God's Love

a)     I John 4:16 - God is love, we are never more like Jesus than when we live our life in love.

4)    Be a Witness - Tell somebody about Jesus, invite to church, do something good for somebody.

a)    Matthew 5:16 - Let your light shine and show others Jesus.

5)    Get Involved in Church - Make Church a priority, not just an option.

a)    Hebrews 10:24,25 - Every believer needs to be involved in Church.  How can we show Jesus to the world if we are not committed to what He came to establish.  Matthew 16:18 - I will build my Church.
